Yes! My first "victim." Kathy has sent me pictures of this AMAZING batik lap quilt made for her nieces 40th birthday. She claims it was easy to piece together although, her skill level is much more refined than mine so easy in her book might be a big fat "what the hell?!" in my book! Thank you for sharing this Kathy! It is absolutely stunning.
This is incredible!
ReplyDeleteI would love the name of the pattern or book.
Gidget
Gidget, I talked to Kathy about this quilt yesterday and she told me that she learned how to make this quilt in at a quilting retreat a ways back.
ReplyDeleteReally... well darn! I think we should talk Kathy into a tutorial on our little blog site here! OK maybe beg.... I don't even know if that is possible.
ReplyDeleteI learned this block from Peggy Gelbrich at a class last year. She says it's based on a pattern by Barbara Brandenburg from the book "Quilting With My Sister" The way Peggy teaches it it's SO easy, but that's what she's famous for, making a tricky block cinchy.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathy I'm going to try and find it!
